Will I need to change my Switchboard?
No, Pert is fully retrofittable, it goes inside your existing switch board.
How many Perts do I need to buy for my home?
You would need a Pert for every switchboard you want to automate. If you have 3 switchboards at your home that you think should be enabled, then you would need to install 3 Perts.
How do i setup Pert?

Step 1. Check the wifi signal strength at the switch board, signal strength should greater than 75{941e78304347d125763be1edc3be533f8c4d2c469489871092c107f744fbd8e6}. If it is less than 75{941e78304347d125763be1edc3be533f8c4d2c469489871092c107f744fbd8e6} then, adjust the router location, so that pert can get maximum signal strength.

Step 2. Switch off the MCB of the switch board in the main Panel board. Open the switchboard top cover. Remove all the connections to the switches and label them with numbers based on switches position and numbers. Identify and separate the common line and neutral in the switchboard.

Step 3. Open the PERT enclosure top cover.  Connect line and neutral to the input connectors. Connect all loads wires to the output connectors based on previous labels. The output numbers (connector) should match with previous switches connections numbers.

Step 4. Remove the existing fan regulator, replace with PERT regulator and close the regulator back cover. Fix the fan regulator tightly to the switch board.

Step 5. Connect the 10 pin cable wires individually to the switches based on previous switch sequence. Connect the ground in the switch board in place of common line in the switch board.

No, as long as the Pert Controller is connected to the internet, we can update the firmware over the air whenever new capabilities, security enhancements, or bug fixes come along.
I want to control loads connected to an inverter and main power in a single switchboard. Is it possible with a single PERT in a switch board?
No, it is not possible. Because the input should be common. Pert cannot drive different sources. It is either inverter or main power.
